It's logic is terrible, and it's never caused a difference before. If you really want to "make a difference" or whatever, then take real steps toward a solution. Car pool, use public transit, something that actually takes money out of their pockets, not "lol do it a day before or after." Also, how is 2.29billion "almost 3 billion"? It's not even remotely close.

Not pumping gas for a day won't work. You'll just pump twice as much the next day!

reminds me of obama's argument that people without health insurance are jacking the price up for everyone, in another decade can we have a law REQUIRING all citizens to drive and use at least X amount of gallons per week?

You know, oil supply is actually up and demand is actually down. There are basically two things making gas prices high right now. One, a bunch of refinery closings are keeping us from making the oil into gas, and two, inflation, inflation, inflation. Damn you, Bernanke!

This isn't the same thing at all. I don't want to derail this topic but "hey people without insurance but who go to the emergency room and get treated while the rest of us foot the bill because they have neither insurance nor the money to pay for their emergency procedures is costing us a lot of money especially since if they had insurance they could see a doctor BEFORE it became an emergency" is not the same as "not everyone drives"

Its not just inflation, its inflation with no accompanying rise in wages. Our Real Wages have been plummeting lately.

that's a problem with people not paying their bills, saying that not enough people are supporting the corrupt insurance sector that are lobbying for this kind of legislation and THAT's why the prices are high is ridiculous. after it becomes state mandated insurance rates will still be high

it's seriously like the american people WANT to be enslaved.

Preventative medicine is cheaper than emergency medicine. If people can see a doctor at any time, we will spend less on medicine on the whole. Now I agree, the insurance system is PROBABLY not the answer but people in this country arent going to support a single payer plan and medicine STILL costs too much to go the "go it alone" route.
