Just got done reading this weeks comics.

Deathstroke was laughably bad.

Grifter was...it's impressive that you can totally tell a comic was written by Liefeld based on the way a new character introduced looks, even when he didn't draw it. Better than Deathstroke, at least. Maybe....better than earlier issues? I don't know how but it seems so.

Batman & Robin was mediocre, no Patrick Gleason hurts it a lot. So far all NotO tie ins have been worse than the regular issues, unless you count Nightwing, but that's so closely linked I don't know if I do.

Batman was great of course.

Everyone should have bought the Vertigo One-Shot Mystery in Space.

Frankenstein was a stealth Animal Man one-shot tie-in, and a good final issue for Lemire.

Demon Knights, awesome.

Green Lantern is finally back to being a top tier book again, slowly climbing back to the possible #1 spot for me at DC again.

Superboy and Legion Lost were pretty cool, looking forward to the conclusion to this event in the next TT issue, lots of mysteries!

SO good. Best comics your money could buy this week.

I didnt understand what was going on in LL and peeved me off!

I might go ahead and buy the other related issues but it seemed like they were trying to completely ruin the Legiony feel LL had and that isnt cool.

THis weeks Cap was good- i always like a new villain for the first couple issues though.

Heeeeell yes, it's the top of my stack. There's always so many comics to stay caught up on, for example I'm way behind on like Batwoman, Wonder Woman, Daredevil, man there's a lotta books.

I dont really like team books that much- LL is an abberation.

I WAS thinking of adding a couple new books and cutting a few--

make the pitches for blue beetle, batwoman grifter and tt.

I will not make pitches for Grifter and Blue Beetle because they do not deserve them.

TT is just super fun, really dynamic art and some 90's cheese dialogue, but in a good way. Characters are interesting and you want to learn more about them. Bunker is especially great.

Batwoman...J.H. Williams III is a super great artist and that's pretty much why people buy Batwoman. The story is not particularly compelling. But it's in the running for best looking book on the market.

If you buy TT then you should probably be buying Superboy. And if you like TT you will like Superbly. That's pretty much a 2 or nothing deal there.

hmm,ill have ot backissue box some superboy and TT-- i really dont have much natural interest in them.

And Ill be honest one of the big reasons im interested in Grifter is because Liefeld is on it and I enjoyed Hawk and Dove....

I didnt pick up superboy- for what its worth because of MPFC giving me a big distaste for superboy prime/Time trapper etc.

EDIT: Also this reminds me that this weeks Suicide Squad was basically the worst possible issue it had left in it. Everything about it was terrible.

I tried Demon Knights and Frankenstein and didnt really like either- lots of action but it felt like nothing happened.

I,Vampire just because it didnt seem like my kind of thing.

Anri, what do you think of the current Spider-Man arc? I think it's terrible. Every plot point is conveniently in the right place, removing any tension, while speeches are ripped straight from Spider-Island. Important scenes are run through so quickly the reader doesn't have time to process the information (no, Dan Slott, that doesn't mean you're writing an exhilarating book, it means you're writing a frustrating book. Give more than three panels to a water boarding scene! Don't be so glib). It's just lazy. Following up a New York-in-peril event immediately with a Earth-in-peril isn't why I loved the first run of Slott stories.

on the plus side, at least humberto ramos isn't on art

I like the current Spider-Man arc. Although that could be because I enjoy the Secret Six and I also like the signs pointing toward Mary Jane a Peter getting back together.

Oh and Black Widow and Silver Sable.

and mary jane was in like, what, 2 pages so far? that's a tenuous reason to enjoy the story!

I don't know why you brought up the Secret Six. It's Sinister Six you silly person.

Anyway it involves several of Spider-Man's old-time enemies. I enjoy such things. He's probably got the best rogue gallery after Batman.

Just read the first issue of the Ends of the Earth ASM arc.

I have a really good feeling about this story!

I've read every issue out so far and it's not nearly what I wanted it to be. I still think the idea is really cool but it seems rushed.

On the plus side (for me), IDW is reprinting the original Mirage TMNT series in color. One issue a month.

Let's hope this continues for 62 months (66 if they include the micros).

Really? I thought it was pretty weak compared to the issues before it, which honestly I felt have been consistently awesome since the "reboot."

Not saying it was bad, but it was very expository. Then again, maybe that's a good thing for Geoff Johns. <_< I guess my main problem with it is the dumb twist where the guy destroys the lantern. I'm not a fan of having characters acting stupid because it's necessary to advance the plot, and that's what it felt like to me.

I still need to catch up on Batman and all these Court of the Owls tie-ins. :\ Not really looking forward to it.

Just remember that none of the tie-ins effect the main plot. Don't read something you weren't just because it's tying in, except maybe Nightwing. The Dark Knight is also Winnick for this issue if that matters.
