-Get a real camera -There are no good free movie editors, but that doesn't mean you have to pay for them... nobody cares if you make amateur videos without a $2000 license -Use either old public domain songs or something obscure, like indie or video game music, or make music yourself -Read up on file formats, codecs, interlacing, aspect ratio, basic stuff like that if you want your videos to look decent -Nuke is probably the best editing/effects program today -Don't render movies in AVI
