thing more than this. Ever since that lucky mother ****er made that shot, I have prayed somehow we would meet them in the tournament. When the bracket came out, my eyes lit up, IUsedtobe was our 4 seed. Of course logic soon ruined my dream for me, as they had NO CHANCE at Wichita St, and that depressed me. Low and behold though, Shaka Smart did it again. VCU knocked off the Shockers, and now all IU had to do was beat VCU. They got lucky as hell, and zebra help to do it, but bless their little hearts, they did it. (Of note, literally the second IUsedtobe game went final, Jones did a sideline reverse power jam to start our 24-2 run, Jones of course wants a shot at them more than any, that was an omen.).


Now all the **** talking stops. They thought they were going to revel in that shot for a year, fate dealt them a bad hand. Don't fool yourself for one second, they are THRILLED to be in a Sweet 16 for the first time in a decade, but they did not want to lose to us. And that is what is in the cards for them now. Nothing can protect them from come what may tonight. The beatdown will resonate in Catlanta, and there will be no question that last game was a fluke.

Also, it does suck that for the rest of your life your favorite team is going to lose 4 out of every 5 games on average.

It's kinda funny - everyone who lives around here who isn't a UK fan is like "yeah they're gonna lose to Indiana again" and I can't help but think that they just don't watch basketball outside of the tournament. The first game was the very first road game for a group of mostly freshmen in a raucous stadium and it still took a buzzer beating shot. I can't help but feel that today's game will be a blowout.
