I don't put any stock in reviews anymore, but if there's one guy I put even less stock into than the norm it's Jim Sterling. That dude is basically insane.

yeah the NG3 one is pretty ridiculous. I can understand you don't like the changes made to the game if you were hardcore into the past 2 games, but come on

yeah Jim Sterling himself is fine, it's just he uses the entire 10 point scale when most other places don't. He would be fantastic on a place that doesn't give out scores.

Jim Sterling gave Deadly Premonition a 10. He doesn't use any sort of scale - he just gives out whatever score he feels like to a game.

I would appreciate Jim Sterling if he seemed to have any rhyme or reason to his scoring. I love people who legitimately use the 10 point scale.

Jim Sterling is the Ulti of Destructoid--his written analysis is usually pretty good, but his scores make no sense and don't fit the tone of the rest of the review

Yeah, that. Game reviewers seem to come in two types; those that give out scores that don't make any sense, and those that give out scores entirely calculated to fit in with what the game 'should' get. I can't take either seriously.

At least the ones on the big sites seem that way.
