Pretty much my same reaction.

I was really excited to drop $15 on it halfway through the Quick Look.

But they they were like "$60 retail".

Yeah it's really not a complaint of price, it's a complaint of convenience. I grumpily coded all day while everyone enjoyed St Paddy's and thought that I'd at least get to kick back at night, download a goofy fun platformer and relax. Feh.

I've discovered that Rayman is available for download from the European PSN store, which I have an account on. But it's 30 squiggly L's which aint worth it if I can get a physical copy for 20 wing wangs.

There's a demo on PSN/Xbox Live. I had my doubts watching videos of it, but it controls very well from what I played.

game was considered one of the best games last year with very unfortunate timing on its release (AC:R, same day) as if Ubisoft WANTED it to fail.

but it's considered one of the best platformers ever. waiting ont he PC release myself before i play. maybe 3ds if it does well with the 3d.

I've played it before, just not since the translation patch first came out. Definitely one of my all time favorite games, but when I played it there was some noticeable input lag that made the combo combat system difficult to manage.
