The class-centric episodes were never the best ones in Season 2. If Season 3 has a problem, it's not because of this.

What are your favorite episodes? Outside of Beginner's Pottery I can't think of any class episodes that are really up towards the top of my list and even that still probably isn't in my top 10.

I'd also like to point out that the only ones to involve a classroom in any capacity this season were the first 3 episodes. And with the possible exception of "Advanced Gay", they were easily the worst ones of the fall semester episodes.

Don't worry though. I know of at least one class-centric episode coming up that has quite the promising premise.

So apparently Community fell back to a 1.7 Adults 18-49 rating last night.

On the other hand, I heard it was the highest rated show on NBC last night, but I haven't actually seen all of the ratings just yet. (That's without a new The Office, though.)

It was. Both episodes of 30 Rock pulled a 1.5, Up All Night got a 1.4, and Awake tumbled to a 1.2.

What are your favorite episodes? Outside of Beginner's Pottery I can't think of any class episodes that are really up towards the top of my list and even that still probably isn't in my top 10.

The thing is, even if class oriented episodes aren't that high up there, if the show becomes one wacky story after another then the show is gonna seem really dull really soon.

My favorite episodes from the first two seasons are (in no order):

"Home Economics"
"Environmental Science"
"Contemporary American Poultry"
"Competitive Wine Tasting"
"Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design"
"Introduction to Statistics"
"Modern Warfare"
"A Fistful of Paintballs"
"For a Few Paintballs More"

I guess you could argue Contemporary American Poultry, and the paintball episodes classify as "over the top wacky" episodes. Possibly Conspiracy Theories as well, although it still feels like its more than just craziness since it involves a lot of exploration of Greendale. The other episodes I feel have tons of funny parts that are relatively creative. I feel Troy and Abed need to have more episodes where they are teamed up with other characters.

Maybe its just me, but it feels like season 3 has been a lot of:

Troy and Abed doing something together
Britta being awkward/failing at something
Jeff doing something really dark

Im fine with all those things, its just every episode it kinda gets stale

Its not like season 3 is garbage or anything, its still a top show on television right now. It just hasn't been as good as seasons 1 or 2. I might get a lot of flack for this, but I actually think Remedial Chaos Theory is only the 2nd best episode this season, Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism being the best. It was wacky, but also pretty believable.

That's one of the things I've really liked about the last two episodes. She's still awkward, but she's actually had profound moments at the same time. It's a nice juxtaposition.

It just hasn't been as good as seasons 1 or 2. I might get a lot of flack for this, but I actually think Remedial Chaos Theory is only the 2nd best episode this season, Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism being the best.

I won't give you flack, but I will say that you picked one that is way wackier in execution than RCT (though not in concept).

Narcissistic Jeff is the best Jeff. Screw father figure Jeff. Give me season 1 conceited Jeff.

Everything around that premise was hilarious. Britta picking at the smallest things because there's nothing to insult about him made me and my friends lose it.

I know I shouldn't say this but I hate the development with aged and Troy. It's like episodes where J.D and Turk were forced to grow up and serious. I just want them to be weird and funny and completely immature.

Given what the next two episodes are going to be about, the Troy and "aged" development should end up leading to something amazing.

The part at the end here is building to something specific that happens soon, though. I don't know what happens afterward, but there is a reason to shake things up between them.

The 9pm 30 Rock and Up All Night got adjusted up a tenth. But that still puts them below Community in a less competitive time, and makes the 9pm airing of 30 Rock slightly higher than the 8:30pm airing of 30 Rock, meaning it did better without the same competition that Community had.

I'm watching the most recent episode now, but I'm completely amazed... at Britta.

Like suddenly she's become a better character than ever before. Granted she was amazing in the Glee episode, but that was pretty much the only praise I would have given her before. But this is now TWO episodes in a row that I can say she's actually been a quality character.

I am quite impressed.
