My neighbors on one side are black. My neighbors on the other are hispanic. Relations with the black family used to be really good until my family started hanging out with the hispanic family alot. Since then, the black family has been acting really cold to my family (we're still pleasant enough to them). Now they're just starting to make my family's life hard. They filed a complaint with animal control saying we let our dog run all over the neighborhood and that its unfixed and unlicensed. Both counts are untrue and animal control came and left without complaints.

Then the other day, animal control came again. The black family filed another complaint saying that we were illegally owning a bobcat. This of course is hilariously untrue. My cat is a pretty normal silver tabby.

Frankly, we're getting tired of this crap. It's rather inconvenient. I'm thinking about calling animal control on them now in retaliation. They have 4 poodles that constantly dig under our fence and rove around in a pack all over the neighborhood.

I would either get serious or ignore it. If you want to get serious then call the police's day time phone and tell them your neighbors are disturbing the peace by constantly calling animal control and have them go over there.

Or I would just ignore it.


calling animal control isn't going to do anything besides escalating the problem

This sounds like it'll become a game of one-upmanship where you do something mean and they do something meaner.

Then in the final act, you realize a bobcat has been living in your treehouse and your family was the jerk all along.

I came expecting M16s and hand grenades, and what I got was a pack of poodles. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

Im amazed.

I call animal control on one of my neighbors because I was watching him beat his dog with a broom in the back yard and they acted like it wasn't their problem.
