I'm still not sure how this works. Are we being forced to change our names if they don't match? The wording implies nothing will happen RIGHT NOW, so I guess they'll deal with it later in some ominous unspecified way. My board name (which... I thought was my universal name and vice-versa) is just EdBellis, no space, so at least it won't magically default to something even more horrific.

We aren't be forced to change our names right now. Maybe later in the future, everyone who has a board username that does not match their universal username might receive a page that forces them to change their username just to view the boards again.

By the way, changing your username does not take effect right away. I tried to change the username of this account:

The username of that account hasn't been changed yet, so the username change must be approved by SBAllen.

Hmm I'm tempted to change as the name I want IS available...

But I don't want to lost THIS SPACE, and it sounds like we can keep our old board names forever if we really want and it's just warning us that everything else will be our Universal Names from now on, not that it isn't already but that maybe those things will be more prominent or something.

And I've been here for nearly 8 years and people barely know who I am as it is. A reasonably lengthy tenure is my only meager source of recognition, if I start over now then NOBODY will ever know who the **** I am.
