Ive strung together 192 of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters and placed them in a contest to see who the best character GRRM has ever created is! The contest is bracket style, meaning the most votes per round wins. The most popular 64 characters (popular means, more or less, most written about in this case) have been given a first round bye. All winners from the first bracket will funnel into the championship bracket according to their seeds. The contest will continue from there until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 3 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The three boards are: Books and Literature, Gamefaqs Contests, and Random Insanity. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. Theres a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.
If there are any further questions please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer!!
~ Lots of blowouts. Including a flawless victory by Pycelle. ~ Missandei upsets Selyse while Arnolf gives a good run to Gilly but can't get the job done. I like Gilly and am happy with this result.
~ The contest has officially been taken off PotD and placed on Random Insanity! ~

From: AlecTrevelyan006 | #016 (10)Syrio Forel (a TEN seed?!!?)
Yeah, this was fairly surprising to me. I think he'd do well in the main bracket alone. Sure, not much plot significance compared to some of the others, but he certainly had presence.

No amount of planning will ever replace dumb luck.
_Zea_ posted... I would have expected Syrio to already be in the main bracket
~Spoilers~
Looking back, I guess I forgot he had so much support already. He did at first for me, but the fact that he hasn't shown up in over 2000 pages made him look like he might not come back at all. Unless Syrio is, as I presume he is, Jaqen H'ghar.

Syrio should only draw support from people who have not read the books.
If anything, the ones I find surprising not to have entered the final bracket are Rhaegar, Pycelle, Brynden Tully, Vargo Hoat, Roose Bolton and maybe Thoros of Myr.
