Hooray for gay marriage and abortion, in addition to the free market! Take that, Ron Paul!

Then the baby should choose to make a run for it before any abortion gets started. Be more proactive, babies!

Baby's life, baby's choice.

We don't let babies make decisions in other contexts either.

If babies aren't responsible enough to make vital decisions regarding their own lives, then it's clearly time for government to step in. Let's see......

To eliminate abortions that arise because the parents think they cannot take care of the baby, the Fed can just print money and give it in a trust to any baby who is conceived at conception. If the baby is aborted the money will escheat to the state. If the baby is born, the parents can be the trustees. More inflation. Roar.

Or we could just create a bunch of jobs for newborns and infants so that they can own their own living and be independent. Bring the textile industry back to the US!

As a supporter of state's rights, Ron Paul would not "make abortion illegal," He would merely allow the states to decide, much like how it is STATE law that makes things like theft, assault, and murder illegal in 99.9% of occurrences.

Also, I'm quite certain that Ron Paul and Gary Johnson's positions on marriage are 100% identical.

Are you sure about that?

I mean, if Gary Johnson's position on marriage is that it should continue to be regulated by the state, just that gays should be subject to the same regulations, then that's actually LESS freedom and liberty than Ron Paul's "why is the state involved in this at all?" position.

I'm just going by what's on his site, but it says he does want "marriage equality, including gay marriage", which is different than RP's "let the state choose".

And with abortion it says he wants the woman to be able to make a choice up to a "point of viability" for the fetus, which is definitely different than RP.

But we don't want people to be independent, we want them to be hanging onto every word that drops from the mouth of the enlightened one Ben Bernanke.

So, in both of these cases, Johnson would presumably pass a federal mandate for those positions? That's not freedom and liberty at all.

Yeah, we shouldn't have passed a federal mandate for abolition either. Leave it up to the states, I say.

No, that's why I'm saying the policy would be the same. These are his personal stances.
