more opinions from the community:

The gameplay thus far (and i know its not weeks into the lifecycle of the game) seems so simplistic. With throws being nerfed to s***, another up close mixup has been removed. Games end up in endless cross up attempts tap tap (now out of range so cant throw) cross up, tap tap, again, cross up, tap tap, ohhhhh one of the hits has registered, lp, mp, hp > launcher > 15 second super animation. Reset situation. Again. Run miles across the overly large screen to meet each other in the middle (wasting more seconds off the clock) jumpity jumpity jump> rinse and repeat.

Its really basic stuff but i cannot see yet how the game can evolve any further than that. Is that fun? Do you feel you have earned a great win? Is there any incenctive to try anything different?

Screen are too big, throw range and startup time is really poor, games ending in timeouts, same old flowchart combos each and every time one of those little hit confirms lands. Is this all we have to look forward to? Am i missing something at this early stage? Please say i am.

You're starting to see more negative reaction to this game as people play it more. Calling it now: this game might be the main game at the next Evo, but SSF4 will be back on top after that. I won't be surprised if people jump ship earlier than that. No amount of Gootecks and Mike Ross calling this the greatest FG ever is going to convince people that they're having fun.

Personally though, I think teams are way more fun. I played some 2v2 when friends came over earlier this week and that was a blast. I guess maybe that creeps into "party game" territory or whatever but I think making 2v2 the standard could go a long way towards keeping people playing this game.

rolento isn't that bad, imo. it's frustrating getting hit by his bnb but i don't think he's as bad as some of the other characters.

Skullgirls is supposed to have an amazing tutorial that goes far and beyond what most fighting games do.

Oh god that sounds great.

I hate the mentality that you either already know how to play a fighting game for real, or you're just interesting in beating arcade mode a few times so you don't need any instruction.

I should not have to consult a wiki or something for things considered basic.
