I don't want to stop right now. I'm actually at a point where I'd usually least want to stop.

Which is why I stopped. Gonna save it and not risking cutting it off half way through the plot thread. I'm actually 24 hours in, just this session was 14.

I'm somewhere from halfway to two-thirds through the game and it is absolutely spectacular. The gameplay is similar to ME2 but more refined, but the plot and action blow ME2 out of the water.

People are really, really down about the ending, but I can't comment on that.

Personally I wouldn't say it blows ME2 out of the water, mostly because I really loved the characters and conversations in that game, but ME3 is right up there. Terrific stuff, lovin' it.

What could you possibly want from detailed conversations with the party members, though?

We already know the back stories, motivations, and inner thoughts of all the characters in our party but Vega. That pretty much leaves only exactly what ME3 gives us- casual conversations, touching moments with them one on one as they prepare to go to the final confrontation, and lots of wondering about what the future will bring.


Anyway, the game blows ME1+2 out of the water thus far imo. And I loved both of those games.

Just different preferences, for one thing I prefer the characters ME2 focuses on. And in a lot of ways it felt like the game had more variety. But ME3 is great stuff as well, just when somebody says it blows ME2 outta the water I must disagree.

But hell yeah ME3 is most likely game of the year, excellent stuff.

My only problem so far is the removal of the loyalty buildup conversations with party members. You talk to them once on the Citadel and once on the Normandy and that's pretty much it. Everything else is background chatter...though that stuff is pretty good. The actual party (so far) is certainly weaker all around, though, but the good ME2 party members (and Bioware is fully aware of which ones those were) get the appropriate amount of importance and screen time accordingly.

Also too many fetch sidequests.
