But the thing is I never really liked the Street Fighter system. I really only played 2 and barely some 3 but I just always couldnt get into it much. Basically bought this simply out of my love for Tekken.

So thus far I am not that good at this game. I tried doing Trials to get better and learn the ropes and it isnt doing much for me. Any tips?

simple starter combos:

lp mp hp hp and then when your second character comes in, crouching mk or mp into one of their specials.

seems to be a fairly universal basic combo

I am having trouble getting into specials after something like that though. Like I tried to do that combo with Heihachi where he does that headbutt into uppercut and the timing never seems to be right. Then with simiilar stuff with Xiayou I had to input an extra foreward where it didnt say to do it to get it to work.

you can't do special moves out of the magic series. you have to link into those. out of magic series, you have to use an EX attack.

so for instance, while cammy can normally cancel her sprial arrow from her crouching mp, she can't LP-MP xx Spiral Arrow. she can, however, link cr.lp into cr.mp xx spiral arrow. the timing is a little different, but the game registers them as two completely different things.

It's a good game with plenty of content already in it, so the DLC cash grab is simply as easy as... Not buying the DLC if you don't like it.
