Haha, I agree completely. Almost as soon as I'd made my previous save, I was like "oh s***, I forgot about Nico!" Glad I managed to get a save in for her before the round ended. This round's...actually looking pretty good, though there are still a few rough patches.

Fact is I spend most of my time on ri but it's gotten sooooo slow. If I knew there was some kind of controversy I would have voted with a less silly account name..maybe. But I promise as a man I'd never cheat by double voting with an alt. I just tend to use multiple accounts instead of one main these days. It's not something i just did here.

Just went over the media of origin for our remaining contestants. Not surprisingly given that this is a video game website, video games were the largest contingent.

Of course, some of the characters are better-known for a different media than their original one. Buffy, of course, is the lone Live-Action Movie character remaining, but her movie was very poorly received and she only became popular once it became a TV show. Meanwhile, Kick-Ass was a fairly obscure comic that became a rather decently received movie.

*Skrull not Krull. And while technically gender-neutral most Skrulls do end up identifying with one gender much more then the others. If we look at Teddy from Young Avengers he is definately classified as male and referred to as Prince while his mom was the Princess. Therefore even the Skrulls themselves do due some gender classification. They just tend to let the individual Skrull choose for themselves. They do still have Queens, Princesses, Princes, and Kings. They simply seem to believe in letting everyone choose their own gender. As of Whedon's run on Runaways Xavin has indeed been proven to be a "female" Skrull due to him transforming into a female form when losing concentration and not holding her shape that she was previously in. So unless you think a post-op male to female transsexual is still really male I fail to see how you can think Xavin is male. Even if her name is definately more masculine then feminine and she identifed as a male when she first appeared.

Uh... let's not get all politically correct in situations that hardly call for it. My opinion on transexuals has nothing to do with my opinion of a fictional character. Considering Xavin held male form when s/he first appeared, I was under the impression s/he later transformed into a female form to appease Karolina. That's kind of different than a personal choice don't you think? If Karolina weren't a lesbian we probably wouldn't be having this conversation at all right now. Either way, I'd still consider Xavin gender ambiguous, which, for the purposes of this contest, no.

It might be different if Skrulls were anything like Mystique in that they're born a certain gender which they could shift at will. I'm sure no one would argue Mystique's sex just because she can shapeshift into a dude, but Skrulls aren't quite like that as far as I know.

Well I am not sure if Skrulls are actually born a gender or not but they most definately do choose a certain gender and can switch that. Let's say Mystique was born a boy. She obviously identifies more with the female form because that is her default form. If you read Runaways vol 8(the trade) or singles #25-30(which is what is in trade vol 8) You would see that by then Xavin has indeed become Female as her main gender and her default form is female.
