Board 8 > Quick question: When/if you eat hotdogs, what do you put on them?

I rarely make my own hot dogs and when I do I just use the typical ketchup/mustard/relish. But there are two fantastic hot dog places around. One makes fantastic po boys (hot dog w/ chili, cheese, sauerkraut and french fries).

The other has fifty ingredients that you can put on a hot dog and I try to get some different combination every time. Some of my favorite ingredients to put on from that place though are: crunchy peanut butter, brie cheese, thai chili sauce, spaghettios, black truffle honey mustard, Guinness sauerkraut and a sunny side up fried egg.

You can see their whole menu below. Basically they serve hot dogs, tater tots and french fries, and you can get as many ingredients as you want for no extra charge.

Always mustard. Sometimes onions and/or hot sauce, but mustard is the staple.

If it's homemade (a.k.a. those packaged sausage + cheap buns), usually only hot sauce (bottled sambal) + maybe ketchup. If it's from a food vendor, everything possible (which is usually hot sauce + ketchup + onions + maybe mustard.

Either chili + onions, or coleslaw are my preferred options. If I don't have those, I go with ketchup and relish.

I love chili dogs, and I like to put onions on them sometimes. Besides that I don't put much on there. Sometimes I'll put just ketchup on there if I have no chili.

One time my friend let me order his hotdogs for him, and in the interests of generally being an ass I asked for sauerkraut and nacho cheese.

I've never been so happy to have a plan backfire on me, those things were delicious.

I asked around and apparently they are about six bucks a pop

So that's not exactly cheap, but about what you'd expect for a gourmet hotdog here

$4.50 here for the terimayo! The sitdown location charges a couple bucks more but you get fries, seasoning, and a drink as well.
