I never realized/appreciated how good the writing is as a kid. It's actually got me totally hooked.
I just finished the episode that the entire first live action movie was based on, I was shocked how faithful the movie kept to the show (Aside from the crazy black hole teleporting machine, but I'm okay with that being left out).
The one thing I don't get is how fighting Dormammu and being sent to Madam Web on a constant basis doesn't completely trivialize all his normal Spider-Man duties.
The live action movie is based more on the comics, but the tv show definitely moves the Green Goblin / Osborn plot a lot more quickly and concisely like the movie.
Actually... - Pretty much skips high school - Mary Jane instead of Gwen - Instant buff Parker - Immediate Oscorp plot
Maybe it is based more on the show...

Also love the fact that Joe Perry made the theme song, its god damn amazing.
Peter made a joke about "That dude from Aerosmith!" when he had the symbiote and I thought....no way, he must've made the song. And after watching the credits I confirmed it.
the 90s spider-man cartoon? that show is horrible. clunky, re-used animation, virtually no art direction, CONSTANT TALKING. it never ends. even if no one is around but spider-man, he will constantly be narrating to himself.
my favorite moment is when spider-man is fighting doc oc, and he's trying to think of a way to stop him.
"I need something... a dynamo! A dynamo is a device that is used to turn rotational energy into electrical energy... "
are you giving a science lesson to yourself, spider-man?!
now 90's batman, there's a cartoon that didn't talk down to its viewers
wg64Z posted... The 60s one is too dated for me at this point.
Is Batman Beyond on netflix?
Batman nothing is on Netflix. DC is more stingy. They'll occasionally have something up from their new Animated Features (IIRC, Under the Red Hood and GL:First Flight were up for a while, probably others too), but they get taken down eventually.
