So yea, Kirby's Adventure on the NES

I don't exactly know how or why, but we actually got this game on the NES back in the day. we were poor as s*** and all I had were really cheap, obscure games that were on clearance for like 5 bucks, so this was a big deal. (on that note, I don't even know how we got our NES, I think one of my dad's coworkers gave it to us)

and yea, that game kicked ass too.

since we RARELY got games, we used to play the hell out of them and complete and do everything there is to do, since, afterall, as far as we knew, we weren't getting anymore! so we appreciated our little, unknown games. and I think I got my completest nature from this upbringing

But KIRBY, oh man, this game had SO MANY SECRETS. I've never seen anything like it. but it had to be done, I had to get everything. but this game was tricky, oh man. I searched EVERY Nook and cranny, then AGAIN to find everything. Me and my bro spent hours and hours and hours finding everything, giving each other suggestions and celebrating when we would find something. it was really good times

and man, the day we got all of them, we were on top of the world, but whats this? EXTRA Mode? whoa? the game was ready for us? and this is HARDER and doesn't let us save, so we have to 100% it in one go? BRING IT ON. and so this took a long time but we did it and got our PERFECT FILE with a sound test

but ...there were still two other save files....so then I went and did two other perfect save files

so the point in all of this? I spent LOTS AND LOTS OF HOURS playing this game. I spent ALOT of time doing the same things over and over and over, and listening to the same listen for long amounts of time.

I'm not sure how this works...but I love the game, but I'm also very sick of it now. I can't stand the thought of playing it, I kinda cringe when I hear music.

this became apparent to me when I watched this video

I was like "I want to try these!" and then I was like "oh god, then I'll have to play it" and "Oh god the music"

I played this game all of the time as well, and yea..I got tired of doing the same things over and over, and everything became repetitive to me...but I LIKE the game!

at the same time, OoT is my favorite game, and I ENJOY playing that game and doing the same stuff.

Maybe I'm just weird

There's a boss rush too, but I forget the requirements for getting it. You might have to beat extra mode for it, I'm not sure

Boss Rush was just on Nightmare in Dreamland, I'm pretty sure. The NES original didn't have that.

ANyways I found it. Seems you only have to beat the game to unlock it to get the versus mode (boss rush)

I do remember there's a bug where if you cleared extra and then beat versus mode you'd lose a star.

I don't understand how you miss that.

I've never actually beaten the original Kirby's Adventure, I don't think. Certainly not Extra Mode. Of course, Meta Knightmare didn't let you save, either, and I 100%ed that.
