And I'm not talking about going to school there, just learning stuff through books or by talking with people who'll tell you things you don't know.
Like there are many people who just aren't interested in anything that doesn't concern them almost directly and honestly it kinda pisses me off. I understand that you can't be interested in everything but when there's just nothing that interest you that isn't the local news or random gossip about the current hip celebrities I feel like there's a problem. Maybe some of them are interested in more things that it seems but they don't show it.
I don't know if it's an age thing because it's something I mostly observed on people my age, it seems like older people actually are interested in a lot of stuff but I sure hope it is because otherwise it means that those people will never be really fun to talk with of anything that isn't the current weather.
That's kinda why I love my friends, they're interested in EVERYTHING so you can talk about whatever the **** you want and they'll be happy to listen, and same for me you can talk to me about pretty much everything ever and I'll be interested because I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
Like last week I had one of my friend talk me like 2 hours about gases, since I don't know much about the subject I just kept asking question and it was an amazing 2 hours. Learning is just such an amazing feeling and it makes me sad to see that there's a minority that doesn't care much about it.
I may be completely wrong about these people though, wish I am.
More sad than anything. It's kinda infuriating to try to talk about something you find really freaking interesting to someone and see that person just not give a **** though.

I can't say I have the same point of view but the one thing I absolutely hate is when someone wonders something (like something factual, not subjective things) and they have the means to easily look it up because they're sitting right at their computer, and then they don't try to find out
