Duke is good. But today was simply the case of how UNBELIEVABLY overrated these Heels have been for a year straight now.


We heard last February how amazing they were. Duke beat them in the ACC Final, we heard last March how they would beat OSU, let alone UK who would not even make it, we literally trailed in taht game for 22 seconds.....

We heard how they were the best team ever coming back this year. UNLV beat them neutral, we beat them while they shot SEVENTY PERCENT from 3, FSU did illegal and vile things to them, and they blew a 14 point lead against Duke with under 3 to go.


They are a Sweet 16 team that has an outside shot at the Elite 8, unless they get to play like Murray State or something.

They are simply NOT on our level, granted, no one is. But they are not on OSU, or Cuse's level either.

And you lot aren't as good as you think you are. You play in probably the worst of the power conferences (West coast conferences don't count shut up Arizona). I think you're the favorites but you are DEFINITELY beatable.

Interesting. I believe we are rated above the ACC right now, and if we are not, it is barely. Congrats, we are not as good as the Big Ten or Big XII, neither are you. You all will probably send 4 to the tourney, we'll send 5 or 6 (if Arkansas decides to quit jumping off that cliff)

As for being beatable. Well, we are beatable on the road, barely, and you have to have the refs, AND shoot out of your mind to do it, but that can be done. We however are granite untouchable at home. The problem the rest of the country runs into is this.


Louisville
Atlanta
New Orleans.


Those are the places we will play the NCAA Tournament at. All 3 of them are home games for us. Not coincidentally, those 3 cities actually have the most UK fans in the country, (well, 3 out of 4, Lexington is #3 after Louisville and New Orleans).

We don't lose in the state of Kentucky period, and hell, we will be playing 16 seeds and 8/9 in Louisville anyway. We hardly ever lose in Catlanta, and Billy G is not walking through that door anymore, and I can't even recall the last time we lost in Blue Orleans. And we don't just win in Blue Orleans either, we straight nuclear incinerate people in that building. Kentucky in teh Super Dome has a higher margin of victory all time than almost every school in the country has margin of victory at home.

So it comes down to this. We have to have an ABYSMAL shooting night, and Davis and Gilchrist need to be in foul trouble. And the other team needs to be incinerating the basket. Then yes, we can be beat in March/April, but that's it. If we stay healthy and Doron Lamb hits shot (50% 3 point shooter career) we win it all. Done deal. The beauty of March is of course one off night can put you down, but no one....NO ONE is even close to our level, and if we play even 70% we simply put can't be beat no matter how good you are. Proof of this, UNC. UNC played their best game in 3 years against us in Rupp, we played pretty damn awful. We still won. Cuse doesn't have the athletes to put at us and has to pray for their zone to have us hit 10%, OSU couldn't even do it last year with Diebler and crew shooting light out 3s. Baylor has the horses, but their coach is a certified idiot. Kansas was absolutely torched by us once, we could have named the score on them, and finally Mizzou. Please god try and run 40 minutes of hell on us. As Florida how pressing us works?
