it is kinda weird

let the symbol die out on its own. the thing was originally a Buddhist/Hindu thing that was co-opted by a crazy german. if you stop lending fear to the crazy german interpretation of the symbol by making it squares, maybe the more natural meaning can shine through.

Well, maybe you should check to see which kind it is. The Nazi swastika is reversed.
Actually, it seems like both directions are used for Buddhism/Hinduism, but only one of them is used for Nazis.
