Played Simpsons arcade at an arcade about 4 months ago. It is still amazing.

yeah I played as bart, it still sucked. It's too shallow, I don't think there are enough weapon pick ups (though the co-op weapons like cars are still kind of cool).

I dont think the damage animations are good enough to make beating people up satisfying either.

last time I played Turtles in Time, it still held up, but it had a lot more depth. Simpsons Arcade just bored me.

I played it co-op with my bro (who has never played it, being a little younger). and he thought it was worse than I did, no nostalgia whatsoever to blind him.

One of my friends in elementary school had the Simpsons arcade cabinet in his house. Along with Asteroids and something else I think.

His parents were f***ing rich. They lived in one of those houses with a movie theater that you always hear about.

The Simpsons arcade game was great to me not because of the gameplay, but rather the fun we had as a group pushing forward, chucking in quarters and finally feeling so satisfied when we beat the game (With a high score, no less).

I could never play that game outside of an arcade.

when I heard it was coming out this week, I was thinking 'yeah, people are going to be over this by Tuesday.' once the nostalgia wave is over, I wonder if people will still get into this.

and maybe they will - I haven't played Simpsons in a whole lot of years. maybe it holds up. but I played Golden Axe last year and damn.

I love beat em ups a lot and even I think Simpsons doesn't hold up that well. I didn't even particularly like it when I was younger, and I loved the show.

The same thing that happened when X-Men came out will happen here. I'll probably still buy it though
