The idea that Kinect is "copying" Nintendo is rather crazy, the kind of thing that only diehard Nintendo fans believe. Those are two entirely different concepts at work; Kinect has applications and uses that are absolutely nothing like Wii. It falls under the broader concept of 'motion control,' sure, but you might as well call out everyone who makes use of a traditional controller as well.

wait, do you people really believe the kinect would even exist if the wii didn't?
I mean it's obviously not an exact copy, but it's development has at the very least been inspired by nintendo's commercial success with motion controls.
It wasn't inspired by anything the Wii did itself, just the success it achieved by lowering the barrier of entry for non-gaming individuals. You can give Nintendo the credit of proving the concept has appeal, but to say that Kinect is "ripping off" the Wii doesn't have much basis, unless anyone who makes use of any kind of motion control is stealing ideas. Kinect is the natural evolution of motion control asand incest more than it is any kind of Wii derivative.
