She had one single years ago, then disappeared off the face of the Earth. Then suddenly everyone started talking about her again and she had the best selling album of all time or something. How the **** did that happen?

Her songs are a lot better than anything else on top 40 radio right now, imo. That said, when you're up against acts like Hot Chelle Rae, LMFAO, and Ke$ha it's not hard to come out on top of the heap.

Now, that said, I think she's actually really good. Seems to have legit musical talent, doesn't write songs about da club, and she's succeeded despite not being very attractive. Go Adele.
