I beat it last week for the first time.

Had more trouble with Dracula, mostly because the timing is completely backwards from what I was expecting.

Yeah, but most of them have insane amount of loot, so you'll probably be left behind.

However, they don't generally mind, and will probably even help you.

Oh, well I have nearly everything from the first 7 chapters plus the fast shoes that give you a stat increase. I just need the +1 weapons. I can solo every chapter except 10 because I die too fast to learn the safe spots and patterns on Dracula and getting to him takes forever.

And I just bested Castlevania 4, because I had never did before.

Pretty nice, kinda easy though, spam cross kills everything, though that final bit against Dracula where it plays the Main Theme felt pretty epic.

Well I used both!

Almost every single boss was : spam crosses and whip without actually trying to dodge things, win.

Had to use other strategies for the final 4 bosses but I managed easily, except against that skeletal bird thing ****** with a spear.
