For the Blackhawks, you could also argue Kane or Toews or Sharp, but Hossa certainly isn't a wrong answer.
For the Oilers, maybe in the past two games I'd say Gagner, but otherwise it's probably been Jordan Eberle or Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who just came back from injury.
Otherwise, those are pretty much on.

Injuries suck. I want McDonald back. I haven't actually gotten to see him play yet, but people say he's pretty good at hitting the damn net, which is a big problem with our team right now. Steen too. Damn concussions. But I've seen Steen play. I can't wait to see AMac.
But what about the other teams I didn't mention? Who would you say are their best players?

As for Eberle over Gagner... Well, Eberle obviously has more points and everything, but with how good Gagner has been these past couple games, you'd think he's on the rise to being the best they have.

No, Hossa most definitely is a wrong answer. Toews > Kane > Hossa. The fact that Hossa has, for basically the first time in his career, managed to go more than a year without suffering some huge injury shouldn't erase the fact that at any given moment, he could and probably will miss 60 games.

So what's the story on the jerseys in the Rangers/Flyers game right now? Flyers are wearing their home jerseys even though they're away. What am I missing here?

I know it always used to be white jerseys at home, and I remember when it switched, but honestly the dark jerseys at home makes more sense. They're more unique and personalized to the team. I like them more overall.

I think the standard now is dark jerseys at home, but if the teams agree to do it the other way around they can. Or something like that. I remember a game or two last year the Wings wore white at home and the Blues wore their dark blue third jerseys on the road.

I brought up the "best player of each team" thing on the Hockey Future boards and of course there are varying opinions. So here's what I've pretty much gathered.
Anaheim Ducks - Getzlaf/Perry Boston Bruins - Chara (Thomas when counting goalies) Buffalo Sabres - Pominville/Vanek Calgary Flames - Iginla Carolina Hurricanes - Staal Chicago Blackhawks - Toews/Hossa Colorado Avalanche - Duchene/Stastny Columbus Blue Jackets - Nash Dallas Stars - Benn/Eriksson Detroit Red Wings - Datsyuk Edmonton Oilers - Eberle/Gagner/Hall Florida Panthers - Versteeg/Campbell Los Angeles Kings - Kopitar Minnesota Wild - Koivu Montreal Canadiens - Pacioretty (Price when counting goalies) Nashville Predators - Weber (Rinne when counting goalies) New Jersey Devils - Parise/Kovalchuk NY Islanders - Tavares NY Rangers - Gaborik (Lundqvist when counting goalies) Ottawa Senators - Karlsson/Spezza Philadelphia Flyers - Giroux Phoenix Coyotes - Doan/Yandle Pittsburgh Penguins - Malkin/Crosby San Jose Sharks - Couture/Thornton St. Louis Blues - Pietrangelo/Backes (everyone but Blues fans said Backes, whereas all Blues fans say Pietro) Tampa Bay Lightning - Stamkos Toronto Maple Leafs - Kessel/Phaneuf Vancouver Canucks - D. Sedin/H. Sedin Washington Capitals - Ovechkin Winnipeg Jets - Kane/Byufglien
This seems to be the most solid I could get the list.

From: Not Dave | #137 uhh i thought that was a pretty clean game
Yeah, I watched the game and didn't see anything particularly egregious. I mean yeah, I guess there could have been a penalty called on the short-handed goal, but I mean, the Devils still owned that game.
