Also, The Alabama Shakes have become my favorite band of 2012. Holy crap this lead singer is a BOSS. She's like the female Otis Redding and that is not an exaggeration.

I despised that St. Vincent album from last year or the year before. Can't remember but a buddy recommended like six bands and five of them were amazing. St. Vincent was not.

Digging Schnabubula - Free Play so far this year ... freestyle piano stuff, with a bunch of stuff added on top afterward. It's cool. Alcest is super disappointing. Ani DiFranco is amazing as always. Listened to the Anthony Green album because I was feeling stupid, it's about a 1 star out of 5, if that.

The new First Aid Kit is great.

What's everyone think of Attack on Memory? I think it's pretty great, listened to it about 5 times already. Not sure if it'll have the staying appeal of the self titled though. Kinda sad to admit that according to itunes I listened to the entire self titled over a hundred times, and that doesn't count listening on my iPod. We'll see how well Attack on Memory holds up. Anyway, it's still got some great poppy songs like Fall In and Stay Useless but it's pretty great seeing the band (Baldi) expanding beyond that on songs like No Future/No Past and Wasted Days. I like it.
