They hope the K2's, Eve's, and other models they got fall under the same path, hence why they are pushed constantly.

Actually I read that they don't take kindly to their Diva's looking at career prospects outside the WWE, and that K2 may have lost favor with the boss when it came out that she was contemplating various modeling offers she had received or something like that.

Kelly, Layla, and Brooke doing Playboy would have set them up as draws for years to come. I forget why it fell through.

I've always read that WWE doesn't want their girls doing Playboy anymore because it goes against their family friendly image right now, and at a time, against Linda's political ambitions. Of the girls who had posed nude before joining the WWE, I think only Mickie James really saw any trouble for it. Isis the Amazon got kicked off NXT just for appearing fully clothed on a fetish site though, so hey.

From JR's blog:

Speaking of WWE Developmental...as usual no names here until they are called up but fans need to know that just because someone was a solid hand in the indies and could fly around and work at a break neck pace doesn't mean that they will be a star on the big stage. There is a great deal that goes into being a long term, big earner in WWE that many fans never think of or of which they are aware. These factors have zero to do with in ring abilities.

I will say that most kids that I see in FCW who have had significant experiences before coming to FCW need to slow down somewhat and execute more crisply.

Antonio Cesaro should be good to go then!

The thing there though is they hyped up Stacy a whole lot when she was on Dancing with the Stars (she was under a WWE contract at the time), but once it became apparent she wasn't coming back as a manger/on-screen figure/wrestler, they decided to just not hype up outside projects the Divas had, and they discourged them from doing outside projects (Mickie James comes to mind..) Though considering they recently had an article about Stacy or Torrie (I can't remember which one) on WWE.com, I'm thinking that they be easing off the pedal a bit.

It's not that they're hiring models, it's that they don't have anyone teaching them.

It's a shame they let go of Serena, because she absolutely could have rubbed off on the other girls. Kharma's so big that I don't think there's really much they can learn from her. They have completely different styles.

Lita and Trish had both received training before making their on-screen debut in the WWE Trish was trained after she was signed by the WWE, so you are right on that assessment. Lita had trained before signing with the company, though.

Well, Lita became "decent" in-ring. Her wrestling skills back then were really overrated IMO.

Trish though, yeah, that's a success story. She comes across better than she really was historically because her main opponents were people like Jazz and Molly Holly and Victoria and Mickie James, but for someone whose in-ring career lasted 7 years from training school to retirement, she was damn good.

Yeah, she was carried a lot, but even being capable of being carried to a good match is more than some Divas can say.

The thing is, yeah Lita was already good in the ring when she debuted, but she still improved too. It wasn't nearly as drastic as Trish from her debut to her retirement, but it still happened.

I'm not really sure girls like K2 or Maryse ever actually improved. And they're not going to improve by wrestling each other, or by wrestling other girls who don't know what they're doing either.

I was thinking more along the lines of Ziggler beats Punk for the WWE title then Punk enters at like #28 or something and goes to Mania. Would be a good time to solidify Punk as a Main eventer and a rumble win would definitely do that. Yea I know he has been a focus for a while but the Rumble win would definitely be huge. Not sure who beats Ziggler in the Chamber. Might be HHH/Jericho but I kinda doubt Ziggler would be in a Mania Title match.

but treating it like the first time ever.... really makes me think the belt holders are going in. and i don't mean penny belts, but midcard or even world title.

I am sticking with my plan but editing it further

Ziggler loses his match due to Big Johnny making a mistake. He tells Ziggler he can enter the rumble. Ziggler gets a good draw, gets 'eliminated' by Ryder or someone but sneaks back in before a ref can notice he was eliminated. Ryder and Ziggler final 2 and Ziggler wins. Ziggler faces Ryder at Eliimination Chamber for true number 1 contendership. Ziggler wins of course.

The last time a World Champion entered the Royal Rumble was Hogan in 1990, although ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero did enter the 2008 Rumble even though his title was established as something the Rumble winner could choose to fight for.

Match is still going on.

Or they'd just not mention the fact that the match never ended and hope people forget. But technically the match should still be going on.

What I would like to know is if Big Show could pin him in any ring, or if he'd have to pin him in the ring in the city they were at when the match started.

If it's not falls-count-anywhere, then it has to be in the original ring.

Even in the WarGames double-ring setup, you're not allowed to go wrestle in the other ring instead of the ring to which you were assigned without risking a countout.

EDIT: Although being WCW, I'm sure there's some example out there where it actually happened. >_>
