Well I was at the dentist the other day and he was like yeah your 'whatever' is a bit off center from your teeth. We should remove that. I just wanted to get the hell out of there because I hate going to the dentist so I was just like oh, okay, I'll think about it.

That little connecting tissue. There's one on the upper part of your mouth too and a big one below your tongue.

My sister had a gap between her two front upper teeth, and they cut that thing which is way more noticable than the one on the bottom. I still don't understand how cutting those two things gets rid of a gap between the teeth.

The one below your tongue is a pressure point (it'll lock up your jaw if you press it), so I'm guessing that shouldn't be removed
