In preparations of getting braces.
It didn't really hurt except for the anesthetic injections, although I fear it might hurt when the effect wore off.

The most frustrating thing is the fact that it makes me unable to speak. Not like I usually talk that much anyway, but it was a thing I took for granted.

Before I had my braces put on I had 1 tooth on the side removed and my wisdom teeth removed all at once.

Then I got the braces about a month later.

The doctor said I have to have two more pulled out ;_;
My teeth are really messy, one of them even grew from the side. It's kinda hard to explain.

I've had 16 teeth pulled over the course of my life so far. Those injections are definitely the worst part of the whole thing. The numb lower lip gets mildly aggravating sometimes, but that doesn't last for too long. It basically just puts you out of normal communication for a few hours.

I was put to sleep for 4 out of the 16 and those were definitely the best. I'll be getting put to sleep again to get all four of my wisdom teeth out in May.

EDIT: It's also pretty annoying that you have to alter your diet after getting teeth pulled so the holes in your mouth can heal. Forgot about that part.

Yeah, I had general anesthesia when mine were pulled out. Just woke up with a mouth full of bloody gauze. But at least I didn't have to be awake for the pulling.

I had 4 teeth pulled and I was awake for it. Probably the most painful thing I've ever experienced.

But that isn't saying much. I've been able to avoid any major pain or trauma for basically my entire life.

Did the dentist administer local anesthesia at least?

I don't think embedded wisdom teeth went quickly in my case.

I'll be honest in saying that I don't really know what it was called, but I got a couple injections in my gums, yeah. Still seemed like I was feeling everything when they pulled it out though. I mean I'm sure it would have been MUCH more painful without, but I still remember the intense pressure and the yanking. It seemed odd that the whole procedure was so primitive in this day and age. Seemed like it was basically just brute force.

I see. Well, I did feel the pressure and yanking too, but they weren't painful at all. Although I agree with the primitive thing.
