Like you imagine what could've happened to the character after the ending? And you realize you actually will never know because there's nothing more written about this story.

It's like a good and a bad feeling at the same time.

Ehh, depends on the book really, sometimes I'm just satisfied with how it ended and don't give a second thought to what happens next.

What happens to Sammy afterwards? I still wonder this periodically. I know that Chabon has written a couple short stories afterwards, but nothing that seems to be about much interesting.
