Another anti-Shedinja argument:

With protect, Shedinja is throwing up a barrier that renders him completely immune to an unbelievable amount of attacks, including Arceus' Judgement, Blast Burn, you name it. That's some pretty powerful defensive ability right there. Surely he can't be considered for that very reason. Similarly being able to conjure a sandstorm at will is a pretty decent feat of strength.

As have I--but even when you get killed by one of them, they still die first. When they collide with you they die instantly, deal no damage, and shove you backwards a bit. The shove can kill you if it pushes you off a ledge, yes, but not before they die.

They are not trying to though. Yes, if Mario sucks and happens to be close to an edge, he can be pushed off by non purposeful secondary effects, that end killing the Goomba.

Even things without arms like Goombas can do a Full Nelson. They've held baseball bats, so doing a full nelson should be no problem.

Jogurt from Shining Force comes close. A hamster with 1 HP, 1 ATK, 1 DEF, and can never gain levels to get any stronger. He at least manages to deal 1 damage when attacking though, so there are worse things out there..just not by much.
