I'm still hungover from last night, so I might be wrong, but isn't that correct? "I settled on one and am dating her though," isn't correct, and it's not directly saying I is dating her. It's saying I settled on one, and then it's saying "is dating her". They're broken up by a conjunction.

Then again, I almost put contraction instead of conjunction, so maybe I'm more hungover than I think I am.
