Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, the City supporters really are the biggest bunch of tools out there. Never met a group of people with such a chip on their shoulder before, they genuinely believe theres a ref/media conspiracy against them from winning anything.
The Kompany red card was a bad decision but the standard of refereeing in the EPL in general is pretty bad. I don't think any of those guys would even have the cognitive capacity to subtly fix a match outcome.
Yes it was two footed, but wasnt off the ground when he made contact. He got the ball, it wasnt malicious or dangerous really, and no compaints for the Man Utd players... Not a red card.

Never a red card, and it enrages me because Kompany will now miss 3 games and he's my highest scoring defender on my fantasy team, so I've gotta sort that out somehow.
Also I love how all the United fans come out of the woodwork today. Smurf you say the City supporters are the biggest group of tools you've ever met, but there's an even bigger group camped out in this very topic today. ;)

Result probably suits City anyway after they get over the pain of losing to the side they loathe the most. They get to concentrate on the league and get to blame their exit on the referee and will continue believing they're top dog.
The worry I'd have for them is the loss of the Toures and now their captain as well at a time when their form is pretty shaky. Next couple of weeks are crucial.
From: ExThaNemesis | #091 They still have the quality to win the league. United really aren't that great.
You don't have to be that good to win the EPL anymore. City should win it but their strength in depth isn't that great, man city are always more than capable of jobbing and most importantly Mancini isn't actually a top tier coach by any means. He's very capable of losing a title to an inferior side.
- Battle of the ex-Celtic managers between Sunderland and Middlebrough, I see. - Pity Suarez is still suspended for the Liverpool/Man U match. - Real really are going to win La Liga, aren't they.

Who knew the Rivalry Rumble would be so predictable? SuperNiceDog, that's who.
And Mancini is a top tier coach. You don't win 3 consecutive Serie A titles, 4 Coppa Italias with 3 different clubs and get denied a 3-0 comeback by a ****ty ref who can't spot PKs for nothing.

Mancini is good, but not top-tier. Top-tier is Mourinho/Ferguson/etc, Mancini isn't there yet. I strongly believe teams NEVER win things in spite of their manager - people actually thought this about Ancelotti at Chelsea in 09/10, for instance - but you have to have achieved consistent success across the board to be considered great. Ferguson for instance has dismantled and rebuilt several teams over his years and Mourinho has done the same, just at different clubs.
I mean for the difference between Mourinho and Mancini, look at Inter. League dominance - which isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, don't get me wrong - was still there but the difference was Mourinho got them to win the CL, and got the win against Barcelona in the semi-finals, which was one of the great achievements in European football this century given how outstanding Barcelona were at the time. Mancini floundered, lost to Liverpool at home, lost to Valencia.
That's the difference between a top-tier coach like Mourinho and one who is very good like Mancini. Mancini's awesome, and a definite step up from Mark Hughes for example, but he's a step or two behind the best.
