pretty unhappy with this game right now

if I pick my favorite champion (Ahri), and my roommate picks his favorite champion (Jana), it's absurdly hard to win, because our team won't have anyone who can soak damage or initiate.

All the fun champions the ones the team doesn't need.

Someone has to get great at the "necessary but not necessarily popular" champions as well.


But if it becomes a huge issue then you can pick one champion from several different categories of play styles as your favorite for that style. So when you need a damage soak you already have your favorite damage soaker waiting in the wings.

Alright, been looking at the list of champs (just started playing). I've been using Master Yi but I can already tell he'll stop being viable, and he doesn't fit my "go all out and smash **** up playstyle" that I can't seem to shake.

I've been thinking Blitzcrank. Any good?

I think it sucks that premades get first pick/ban rights 100% of the time and they don't even bother to learn how picks and bans work, or at least how to take advantage of the system.

For example, if I was given last ban rights, I wouldn't ban Lee Sin or Kassadin first because they're very popular ban picks and I don't want to "waste" a ban on a champion my opponent will likely ban themselves.

Hey Spike, sorry for the DC but I had to go before I got frustrated with our team. Couple pointers


1.Kog is a late game champion. Winning for him is escaping his lane with more farm and less death than his counter part Carry. Sometimes playing safely is the best option. If you are not a spectacular last hitter than Kog is nearly impossible to play(as are most Carrys but Cait/Sivir give you some leeway with their kits) as he requires a large early game itemization to snowball. Definitely practice last hitting.

2.Kog is VERY, VERY hard to play. Not only is he fragile but he has no good CC or escape like the other Carrys. He's all about positioning and avoiding harass. Your job is to use everyone else as a meat shield for your Penta Kills.

I play Kog like I play Trist: If I am in range to use ANY of my abilities(excluding your steroid) than I'm too close. Press W. Put the slow trail in front of you. Fire away.

3.Learn how much damage you can do with him and just how effective his ult is. His ultimate absolutely PUNISHES lanes without sustain like the Ashe/Leona one we faced. Every 8-10 seconds just let loose with a barrage on their carry. It keeps them distracted and even if it doesn't hit they're worried about it and miss out on CS.

It's alright, man. I was glad that I got to play with you (even though we lost both games). Sorry I'm not up to par right now. I started playing a few months ago. I like playing Kog, and I do really well with him against people my level. Playing with level 30s is really different for me, and it's a pretty big jump. Like I said, though, I'd still prefer learning something and losing than learning nothing and winning, so I'm glad I got to play with you. Same to jdizzy.

Wow just had the most frustrating win ever

We were ahead all game, but Viktor got mad at me and decided to troll, told the enemy team he was giving them a win, threatened to leave, threatened to feed, trash talked all game, whined and played badly. Dragged it out to a very close 50 minute game x.x

This is half venting, half lesson for new players.

We had an early game team with Brand/Garen/Taric. We dominated early game, were up 6 kills, I had top turret down in 5 minutes.

I prep for Baron at level 13 with a pink ward. They had nothing up so I ping Baron because their Alistar/Vayne were bottom.

While 3 of us fought Baron, Gangplank and Graves chased Wukong around our jungle. Needless to say, they found out what we were doing and wiped us at half health and then proceed to Godstomp us.


Lesson Here: Always listen and play as a team. Never chase kills when better things are available.
