Nah Sephiroth and Tidus are really fun to play. Tidus has a lot of mobility and Sephiroth just has cheese combos that are really satisfying.

Kefka is okay-- in gameplay he's the best spellcaster character that isn't X-Death and in the story well, at least his character isn't butchered like a lot of them are.

If anything I was thinking Zidane was benefiting from that with all the FF9 fanboyz on the board honestly. Dude bores me in Dissidia.

Gameplay wise Tidus and Seph are reduced to little more than Hop Step and Shadow Flare respectively. You can blame assists for that. Sort of the same with Zidane and Swift Attack -> Meo Twister, but he has plenty of options other than that and plays swiftly and nimble. Similar to Tidus, except Tidus' mobility comes out through his dodge moves which kinda force Hop Step to be his only offensive option, while for the rest he has to turtle somewhat. Kefka is fun to play as, and really annoying to play against thanks to WW Firaga and that really weird Havoc Wing hitbox.

Of course, Vaan is one of the most fun characters to play and went out first, even before Feral Chaos, the embodiment of the devastation to the Dissidia 012 metagame. So the game bias argument does have some ground to it.

I don't give a crap about the metagame. Playing competitive Dissidia is a rather ridiculous thought to me-- gameplay just isn't solid enough for that. I just mean stomping the computer when going through story mode and suchh Seph has a lot of flashy multihit stuff and Tidus bounds all over the place with a lot of his attacks which is satisfying.

But then Zidane can zoom around the field, hit everyone from just about every angle and can always squirm his way up close for a nice and spin-ish beatdown. He's not unfun to play.

Zidane was my main and the first character I beat the story mode with.

Mine was Firion. Couldn't resist the Bosch. Not everyone could agree though.

Zidane like... zooms in, but I don't know. Tidus still feels faster cause he does the hit and run thing. Zidane's like Tidus lite for me.

Huh. Tidus usually felt slower to me because most of his attacks have the dodge startup and his HP attacks just generally start slow. The only part where they're really comparable is Hop Step vs. Swift Attack, one of which is linkable. So to me Tidus was Zidane lite with less variety.

Meh, Zidane is the best Dissidia character. Yuna, Firion, Squall and Terra are also great. Seph and Kefka are overrated :P
