I think they have better songs overall (albeit not many), but I'm not sure any moment in their discography better encapsulates the best of both Waters and Gilmour.
Good band anyhow, would be cool if I can stimulate a little discussion here. Thoughts?
I would post in this topic if my knowledge of Pink Floyd's music reached farther than hearing Dark Side of the Moon a couple of times and the rest of their records only once.
Just saying.
PS (totally off topic): Caravan (Van Morrison obviously) at the last waltz is amazing.
Used to be. They still have a handful of songs I enjoy, but prog as a whole really isn't my thing anymore. Even the classics; I only made this topic because I'd just listened to Animals for the first time in like a year and was surprised how much I still enjoyed it.
From: Giggsalot | #004 Man you should get on that, they're way better than most of the other big prog bands. Not difficult, admittedly, but still.
I know. I enjoy Pink Floyd a lot more than other prog bands (I tried getting into Rush etc but it all just sounded really dull to me except for a few songs) but I just don't listen to them that much!

Well if you haven't, you should listen to Time Flies as it sounds very similar to Dogs, which Steven Wilson admits.
The Incident is a terrible album though, partially because it never, ever sounds like an original work. I'd take a failed attempt at experimentation over a pleasant water-tread any day.
