I don't understand why FF7 is winning. It's a contest about rivalry, not the game. Cloud/S's rivalry kind of blows. Red/Blue are striving to be the very best in the entire world. Now that is a rivalry.

Mentioned this in another Topic. Red/Blue would be Midcarders at best if it wasn't a rivalry contest so the fact that this is close suggests that people are voting them based on Rivalries..it's not just Pokemon Vs FF because FF would win by a landslide in that case.

Even though i kinda hate pokemon now..i still respect Red/Blue Rivalry more than any other(apart from phenoix/edge) but i just dislike the pokemon fanbase.

If it was purely about rivalry, Red/Blue would win the whole contest hands down. Heroes and villains aren't necessarily rivals, they're commonly just enemies. Red and Blue are rivals of each other in every sense of the word:

Phoenix/Edgeworth should actually win if it was about rivalries. Yes, Red/Blue is an actual rivalry in every sense of the word, but that doesn't make it the highest quality rivalry ever; Phoenix/Edgey tops it there.
