It's funny since this new layout reminds me of the layout they had like 3-4 years ago before profiles had tabs and stuff.

I mean, didn't they switch to tabs since they said it made it easier to find things?

The things I don't get are stuff like the new Gmail design. Who thought this was more aesthetically pleasing? Who? Why are so many site redesigns just ugly?

i've decided to just not get annoyed at all the constant overhauls 'cos within two weeks i always forget what it used to be like anyhow

These large sites feel the need to constantly issue redesigns as a half-ass attempt to show the site is constantly evolving. If a site continues to look different, people will think they're constantly working on it!

The gmail redesign upset me. I don't really like timeline, but I'm sure I'll get used to it like all the other Facebook updates; the gmail one seriously hurts readability.

This has been my philosophy for about 5 years now. People always whine about the changes then they get used to them, and whine when it changes again.
