Games 2004 featured some classic matches, no doubt about it, but go back and look at that bracket:

Matches involving Adventure, River City Ransom, Galaga are bad enough, but the generation divide also forced us to waste potentially interesting games like Tetris and Metroid and the first Final Fantasy against games from their own era that they were always going to get SFFed and blown out by. The other divisions weren't much better; how much noise could Mario 64 and Goldeneye have made if they weren't wasted against the one N64 game that overshadowed them (Ocarina)? Watching FF7 put up 80% on Xenogears and Suikoden wasn't too thrilling either...

The point I'm getting at is that instead of having one quarter of the bracket where obvious hierarchies weren't present (Division 128), we could have had an ENTIRE bracket like that! No reason why many of the best loved matches from the end of that bracket (LttP/Chrono Trigger, Ocarina/FF7, etc) couldn't still have happened in the Elite Eight onward!

I didn't even see it let me pick a winner for the final battle. I checked most of the day, even around 10 PM PST and it said the final battle hasn't been picked yet. :/

I tried to submit it during the Trainers VS Cloud match but it just said that the final battle hasn't been picked yet

I don't really care because my battle standings is terrible beyond belief (13800)
This is more than SBallen so if he pass me because of the final battle or anything and I won't get karma boost then...yeah I wouldn't care anyway :D

Yep, I did exactly the same, and it seems to have gotten wiped.

It's extremely unlikely that bacon will pass me, though, so I'm probably good. Then again, I think my battle bracket somehow got reset and is no longer a karma entry so... :/

Add me to the list of those that got screwed by the final pick form. I put all of my 14,200 on a straight Link pick, but GameFAQs says I didn't make a pick.

If SBAllen passes me, I'm going to be ticked. Not because 10 Karma really means anything. I just hate getting screwed out of a win I rightly earned.

(If SBAllen went nuts, picked a 1%, gets it right and passes 28,400 then nevermind as I would've lost anyway.)

I noticed that by not wagering anything and avoiding the Final Battle pick altogether, my total score of 34500 fell off the Battle leaderboard.

...uh, don't tell me that I actually had to "Submit" something in order to keep my score alive. (not like I got it wrong)

Yes, exactly, because the lowest score shown on that leaderboard is 87,400. By not picking the final battle, you essentially banked that round, gaining zero points.

I just cannot find what happened to what I did, period. When I go to the final vote form, it's a 404 "page not found" error. I cannot recall my exact vote anyway, but there's nowhere that shows my score that I can find, nor anything about Karma bonus I got for passing SBAllen in the bracket contest (not sure about battle as, again, I don't know what I got in the finals).

Where can I see this result? When I look at my battle entry I see the last 3 entries as:

The update your battle bracket page at least is inaccurate. I know mine doesn't show anything about my final pick, and I'm on the leaderboard so I know my pick went through.

The 63rd battle listing shows only a copy of the line above ... (at risk points) (banked points). It doesn't even show winnings from the 62nd battle. The numbers in no way relate to your final battle bet amount or winnings. Basically, the page hasn't been updated to display your final battle information, and the final battle form was taken down, so there is currently no way to view your final score.

I have a question about the entries that can be made for this contest. Maybe someone has an answer:

The Rivalry Rumble main page says this about the Karma Bonus Entry:

"For users outside of the United States and Canada or who are otherwise not eligible to enter the official contest, you can now enter your bracket or battle picks as a "Karma Entry"."

Are Karma Entries only valid for users outside of the United States and Canada?

Since I live in the U.S., would I be able to submit an entry for the Karma Bonus instead of the official Contest, or if I entered for the Karma Bonus, would be entry be invalid?

Just wanted to get a clarification since I am not sure about this. I'm asking so I know for the next contest.
