'WAVE HAND HERE TO OPEN BUS DOOR' should really say 'Haha, you're going to look like a moron because I don't work 90% of the time'.

Bus drivers here just open the doors for you with a button on their dashboard.

In fact, I've never heard of anything else being the case.

Might just be my cities buses (Calgary) but we've always had pressure doors that you push on to open.

That is until this ****ing new generation of buses where people being babies about germs made them switch to 'hands-free' motion sensors that don't work for ****. **** I hate riding those new buses.

They open and close the front door. I guess they just figure anarchy for the back door you're supposed to use to exit the bus makes sense somehow.

In Fresno we have:

A) Busses where you push on them and they open easily (once the bus is actually stopped, obviously)

B) Busses where there is a strip with a wire in it where you push on the wire and it triggers the door to open.

C) Busses where you wave your hand under a sensor for it to open.

I feel really bad for drivers here because some people are just really ****ing stupid and can't tell one door type from another so they are constantly breaking the damn things because they dont understand how it works.

When you see the yellow strip, press on it like you would a button.

When you see the pressure bar just gently push it and it will open easily.

When you see the motion sensor, activate it without touching the door (they actually work here).

I can't understand why it's so hard to figure out.

Around here when the bus stops the driver clicks on something and all doors open (well except for the emergency one obv)

Never caused any problems!
