For those of you who have been keeping up with it, you've probably been looking forward to Uber Namek fighting (the guy who is literally every Namekian fused together into one to kill Namek). They put him in the very last match of the first round, then do this...
If this sticks, it is terrible. It's as if they want to say "sorry we thought this was a cool idea, but we have no idea what to do with him now and we need more time to figure it out."
Haguile posted... Didn't even know that comic existed until I saw this topic. This topic better still exist until I'm done with my exams and can read the comic!
I'll remind you. It's actually really good. It's what GT should have been.
Woah they really sped it up. I remember them adding like a page a week at one point and I feel like I stopped at page 120. They really sped it up, but apparently it's not that good? I'd probably have to start over to figure out who everyone is again.

Wow thanks for the introduction to this comic! Totally just read the whole thing in one sitting. Good stuff. That Namek is going to light Cell Junior up.
I just started reading this tonight and read all 486 pages. Wow is all that I can say. I especially loved the part where they threw in Akira Toriyama. Just imagine what powers he would have. Also lulzworthy was Akira forfeiting to the villain from the DBZ OVA "The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans". I'm somewhat surprised Crono (or the rest of the cast) from Chrono Trigger didn't show up.

Ed Bellis posted... Thanks for reminding me to catch up with the comic. I don't have any idea why you thought Uber Namek was going to job like that - they're obviously building him up for something.
I just figured there was no point in bringing it up if they wouldn't use it. Seemed like a waste of a couple pages.

I'd actually argue that almost ALL of Multiverse is terrible. It's got some cool moments (Cell/Dabura, Nail/Recoome), but otherwise, and especially lately with the monotonous specials, it's really not very good.

Eh, I didn't find it funny, and considering they waited until the very last match to show the guy I've been looking forward to since the whole thing started, I thought they were putting off letting him do anything for longer. Seems like a convenient excuse to me, but I'm glad they didn't go that route.
