me and the homeboys were hangin out, one of them is dating some new broad he brought by, she hung out for a bit, we were watching a movie, I said something to try to make everyone laugh (and I don't even remember what it was now), she looks over at me, whips her neck and calls me a stupid ass and to shut the **** up. I told her to step out of my house before I throw her ass out thus ruining the evening, and APPARENTLY SHE WAS JUST JOKING LAWLZ
...SHE WHIPPED HER NECK AT ME, SHE WAS SERIOUS! she didn't even smile. her brow looks angry too. God dammit
I've barely been hanging out with my friends recently but I know i'm not socially retarded
I also dislike it when this happens with texts too, in my experience, with someone says something without a emoticon or some slang abbreviation I.E. LOL, ROFL, JK, etc, they're bein serious. So uh, when you tell me to eat **** and die or something and thats it, I"M GONNA TAKE IT SERIOUSLY
okay, the text thing might be on me, but the first thing wasn't my fault! END RANT
I know that feel. My friends and I are often very rude to each other, but it's understood as a joke because we've known each other for so long. When someone I hardly know does that to me, it tends to put me off.
Doesn't change the fact that you completely overreacted, though. Way to ruin the evening.

Statistically, one in twenty of us live next door to a pedophile. Not me though. I live next door to a stunning pair of seven year olds.
UltimaterializerX posted... Is homies the proper nomenclature? Excuse us professor fancypants. More like I see the guy on Facebook daily and when he pretends he's some thug (he's not even close) it's so lol
This is just one of those things, I don't see why language would be taken seriously all the time like that, why not say homies, homeboys, etc? It's good for ya.

whether or not she was joking, pun has proven on this board time and time again to be completely clueless to social cues. i doubt his rendition would accurately display the situation were she actually joking.
