For that to be effective the opponent needs to be as strong or almost as strong as the characters in the first place. Mario/Bowser are no way near Clouderoth. Even if they were..if he beat Link logic says he beats Mario with absolute Ease.

The only other possible way Cloud loses is if some bandwagon happens and Trainers end up winning the damn thing due to rallying. But that won't happen either.

The only thing that can beat FF on this site with(and without) rallying is Zelda(See MM>FFX). Pokemon ultimately could not do it,(see Seph>Missingno)

Squall/Seifer is a good rivalry, and they're excellent foils.

I meant in terms of voting them over Cloud/Sephiroth.

I'd vote Squall over either, but their rivalry is nothing in comparison.

Sora is a step below Bowser, Ganon, Vincent, Auron, and Squall. I'd expect him to get 55% on all of them. Add SFF and I'll give Squall a 58% any day. Which is what I'm predicting.

Which proves the Rivalry Factor is quite significant in terms of actual %'s. Snake beats Seph still and loses to Cloud. Liquid is not even Mid carder is he.

Analysis

Sora and Riku were able to use the morning vote to pull away from Dante and Vergil while Squall and Seifer had a clean doubling against Siegfried and Nightmare. At the beginning of the contest I thought an upset would be likely here, but now I don’t really see it happening. Sora and Riku needed to win by more while Squall and Seifer showed no signs of being weak.

While people have questioned Seifer’s strength and how much he brings to the group the last two rounds have been expected performances by Squall. Some people see the performance against Siegfried and Nightmare as a bit of a disappointment, but Nightmare has shown in the past to have strength. Sora and Riku on the other hand have the advantage of probably having a stronger second character, but that barely helped them against Dante and Vergil last round.

While I would still question Seifer’s strength should he ever make a contest the pair has shown to have strength. Some people have suggested that Squall and Seifer may be weaker in this format because Squall gets a large portion of his strength from Kingdom Hearts and the rivalry between him and Seifer is non-existent in that game, but had that been true Squall would have looked badly in the past two rounds. Their potential for SFF in this match, but I feel Sora and Riku will hold it off fairly well.
