I'd also like to live in a place where winter has daylight for more than six hours. it'd also be swell if it's relatively cheap to live there. 1 bedroom apartments in Anchorage go about $800-1000/month so something cheaper than that.

Got any suggestions? I need to get out of this state.

They do, but there are also quite a few expensive places in California. (Although if you go for "not in the city" yeah, you should be fine).

Being from here it seems cold in Winter (never much lower 40, though), but yeah.
