I don't think I ever really laughed at any of the Nerd's episodes, they are just entertaining and don't take themselves seriously. Like with the Nostalgia Critic it gets to a point where I feel dumb just watching the review because of how constantly he tries to shove a joke down your throat, but the Nerd's jokes are more like "here are some jokes to lighten up the trivia, if you laugh great if not hey."

Eh I don't know, I just never really saw it as a "hilarious" series or anything, but it always entertains me.

I remember laughing at his older ones. I feel for about a year they've been less good. Either I got used to his gimmick or he's actually been less good for the last year. It's probably tough to keep coming up with new material for that long anyway.

yeah he's generally not funny at all

but I still love him, and the show too.

it's not really about the humor, but he actually has had some truly well-written stuff in the past, like the ninja gaiden episode.

most of the humor i've gotten out of avgn videos has come from the games being what they were. like silver surfer being killed at anything stronger than a light breeze, or the superhuman noah referenced in this video.

but overall, not something i watch for humor, just entertainment as a whole. even if said entertainment is more meh these days.

His best episodes are when he's really enthusiastic about something, whether its presenting an old console as a history lesson, or something like the Nintendo World Championships episode, or finally tackling Action 52.

This episode was basically just "Well there's (barely) enough material for a Bible Games 3 and I'm contractually obligated to do one video a month so here you go."

The ass part was great, and as usual, the actual game info is interesting, but some of the anger in the latter half felt forced. Although I pretty much shared in the wtf moment at the non ending of the Jesus game.
