I just bought Crono Cross. I can't transfer the game from my ps3 to the psp and vice versa.

I honestly didn't even know this was a feature so it doesn't affect my essay. That was a joke.

Good thing my PSP can't connect to my PS3 anyway

But yeah, this is basically encouraging piracy. Its like Sony wants to get rid of the only advantages people who don't hack their PSP have.

Though at this point, PSP is essentially dead anyway so I guess they don't care

It's one PSN Store, isn't it? They'd probably let you download it for free through your PSP.

You can still copy PS1 games to the PSP, they just can't be installed beforehand, which is pretty crappy. I think it's a response to an exploit that came up after the PS3 was hacked.
