Theres a few minor differences (like they gave Ai a more prominent seiyuu since she only said a few one liners in the game), but the important characters are all the same.

I see, so we're just comparing english voices vs japanese voices for the game/show in general

Its ok. I watched a couple of episodes. But knowing the plot beforehand it was kind of boring honestly.

It's amazing. There's great humor the anime added that wasn't in the game. It's a fantastic adaptation with great anime only segments on top of it.

I dunno about Yu being funnier here, he seems kind of awkward and not really how I'd imagine him from playing the game and how people interact with him there. Maybe he changes later on!

It's godly. (Better if you played the game already, but still good anyway.)

Yu Narukami is one of the best main characters ever.

He changes later on. I'm primarily talking about the last three episodes.

That seems like a bit of an exaggeration. I mean, sometimes he's chuckle worthy, but it's not the best thing about the show by far.

It's just that the general character interaction is very well done in the anime, which was definitely one of the strong points of P4. Yu's remarks just happen to add to them a lot.

And speaking of the Protagonist, since he has a canon name now....

Is it safe to say that P4's cast and main character are both more popular then their P3 counterparts? In my mind they're all pretty close in quality but I'm guessing overall P4 is favored?

I'd say yes. While people like people (robots) like Aigis a whole deal they almost never really like Ken, Yukari or Fuuka. I don't think there's anyone in the P4 that people dislike a bunch more than the rest.

P4's cast seems to be more liked overall from what I have seen. There are a few P3 characters a lot of people seem to hate while P4 doesn't really have any hated characters overall. Some still get a bit of hate, but the P4 cast has positive reception overall.

People dislike Yukari and Fuuka? Huh. Yukari seems mostly good, if you ignore what The Answer did to her. Fuuka's alright too.

Aigis's popularity mystifies me, TBH. could've done without her.

I think I'm on the same page as everyone else for P4 though. There are no bad characters in that game, they're all pretty excellent.

I guess it's pretty tough to compare the main characters when neither of them talk. You can draw some conclusions from your dialogue choices, maybe.

I like the MCs best because action wise they are usually the most composed and badass of the group. Yu's portrayal in the Animation helps a bit too.

Almost all of Fuuka's hate comes from her voice. I don't know anybody who actually hates her as a character. Yukari gets a lot of hatred from The Answer where she's awful. I only like her in the female protagonist side in P3P since she's a better character in it.

I think it's clear that you're supposed to like Yukari in P3. She's the canon love interest, she's got one of the better social link arcs, and I wanna guess that she has the most character development scenes with MC though I can't say for sure. I wonder if people would generally like her if The Answer didn't happen.

I did not like Yukari in P3 whatsoever. She was just sort of a b****.

P4 had a great cast. I'd rather have the dub, but since I don't feel like waiting for that I'm watching the sub for now. It's pretty good. The main character is a complete dick.
