Lieutenant Kettch 12/04/11 11:16:00 PM #59:	I was going to suggest a Keshik country next age since I really liked them once in the past, but it looks like they've been nerfed since then. Kamboja's are pretty much superior to them in every way now. +25 hp, -3 strength for 5 less wage? Crazy. No wonder the mountain countries are always stacked. FD mentioned Horde Bowmen I think, which wouldn't be terrible I guess. Probably a good MvM unit, but no kills in pvp and get shredded by Huos. I think a full Ghandara/Ninja main would be interesting if everyone added lots of leadership to offset the inevitably poor ranks. Forceful_Dragon 12/07/11 2:21:00 AM #67:	Time to think about next age Right now my thoughts are to go with an all cavalry main, or at least as much of one as we can manage. It's nothing "too crazy" but having an insanely large amount of cavalry should give us something of an edge against infantry heavy mains, as long as we can do a "decent" amount of ranking with them. I do not expect everyone to make every single run possible, but making a fair few runs initially should keep us strong enough not to get eliminated straight off. Additionally quite a few people have messaged me this age expressing interest to know "what we're going to do next" and so hopefully I can get even more random TLK people involved which will increase the amount of cavs in our main. some specifics 1) We would be starting in Kara Khitai 2) We would be building Mangudais. They start as Horde Riders Upgrade into Horde Bowmen And from there into Mangudais Their ratios of ranged+melee strength to wage seem to be pretty strong. Their HP isn't "amazing" but it is better than some other cavs which makes it good enough in my book. 3) The proposed name theme is to name ourselves after Kentucky Derby winners. Horsey country full of horseys. Names like "Secretariat" and things like that. 4) I'm not sure how we would build heroes for this country yet, but I do think that training through blue ranks will be pretty good. But I want to hear some input before we commit to this. How does everyone feel? I think our ranged army (huos) 3 ages ago was quite successful, it even tanked a drop from Pala who was very stacked. You will have 42 soldiers and will run a mix. 27 Mangudais and 15 Heavy Horde Bowmen or (2) stop training with apprentice units at 2401 XP which is Captain. You will have 46 soldiers and you can run full Mangudais. Not sure which method would be preferred yet. It would take longer to get to 2400 XP without promoting anything, but then you end up with 3 extra units (since you need 43 eventually) so there are good reasons for either version. We're going to do some more theorycrafting before we're dead set on this strat. I still want to know what everyone things of course. Edit: Apparently Tatar Warriors (the other T2 horsies in KK) have pike bonus now. They did not used to. But it brought up some good possibilities since Keshiks (tier3 Tatars) have higher wage than Mangus. And we don't seem to have a ton of people from B8 excited about next age so I'm going to try and get more friendly TLkers if we can. And I think we're getting Mege and TheMute back for sure as well.
