The people (ie communists) win again.

edwardsdv and swordz9 are basically the comedy heel tag team of this topic, why would people be taking them seriously?

10+ years ago if you went to the average teller line and said "for $5 a month you will never have to do this again" I think you would have had the happiest group of people that ever lived

Yes but considering that banks SAVE a ridiculous amount of money by going paperless, charging their customers for it is downright criminal.

It'd be good business if they did it from the start, though I think the end result would be similar to "free checking".

BoA being the worst bank I've ever had an account at notwithstanding, I really don't know why people don't go the credit union route. No monthly fees, 10 dollar overdraft fees instead of 35 dollar overdraft fees, access to free ATMs at any credit union in the country, and they aren't trying to gouge you for money. The only downside with my credit union is the interest rate on my savings account would have been kind of meh, but that's why I have an online savings account, which gives me a flat 1% interest rate as opposed to BoA's 0.05% interest rate.

I literally have no idea why people have BoA accounts. It's almost like they don't like having money.
